his PhD focusing on renewable energy in developing countries. He has extensive CDM
project experience in Asia and Africa, where he has gained a deep understanding

Principal Carbon Emissions Specialist: Christiaan Vrolijk
Christiaan has worked on international climate change and energy issues for 12 years.
He is author of the publications, “The Kyoto Protocol: A Guide and Assessment”,
and “Climate Change and Power: Economic Instruments for European Electricity”.
Previously he worked for Natsource Tullett Europe, the global emissions brokers,
and the Royal Institute of International Affairs, an independent policy think-tank
where he was responsible for climate change projects. Christiaan is a globally recognised
expert on the Kyoto Protocol and emission reduction projects.^

Chief Representative, China: Qian Yiwen
Qian Yiwen has 9 years’ experience working in the Provincial Development and
Planning Commission in Xinjiang and one year working in the Chinese National Development
and Reform Commission. She has managed a wide range of projects funded by international
donors, including the Asia Development Bank, World Bank and the European Commission.
She has extensive CDM project experience in China. She was a visiting scholar to
the Business School of the University of Maryland, USA for two years.^ Top
Chief Representative, Vietnam: Le Thi Bao Ngoc
Le Thi Bao Ngoc is Carbon Resource Management Limited’s Chief Representative in Vietnam. Based in the company’s office in Hanoi she leads a team of 4 people. She worked for 14 years at the Climate Research Centre, MONRE, as a senior researcher on Climate Change and GHG Emission Reduction Projects in Vietnam. She has been focusing on the development of CDM projects in Vietnam since 2003.^ Top


Kanan is the CEO of Carbon Capital Services Ltd. Based in Kiev, he manages a team of 6 people and coordinates the company’s activities in Eastern Europe, Central Asia and the Middle East.
