Rui has extensive experience in the oil business, from exploration, through to refining. For the last 10 years he has been the Chairman of Mediterranean Oil Supply and Trading (MOST), he is a Director of Quantic Oil and is the Chairman of the Footsie 250 quoted oil exploration company Soco International.^ Top

Chief Executive Officer: Nick Clarke

Nick established First Carbon Fund in 2004, which has been a successful first mover in the carbon market, securing a portfolio of projects in Latin America and Asia. Prior to that he spent 20 years in the oil & gas industry. Initially trained as an engineer he moved on to run one of the largest oil broking companies in the world. He then built a gas marketing and trading company that today has 5% of the UK market.^ Top

Chief Operating Officer: Dr John Green

John has worked in the renewable energy field for over 18 years, having completed his PhD focusing on renewable energy in developing countries. He has extensive CDM project experience in Asia and Africa, where he has gained a deep understanding of the needs of project implementers working in developing countries.^ Top

Principal Carbon Emissions Specialist: Christiaan Vrolijk

Christiaan has worked on international climate change and energy issues for 12 years. He is author of the publications, “The Kyoto Protocol: A Guide and Assessment”, and “Climate Change and Power: Economic Instruments for European Electricity”. Previously he worked for Natsource Tullett Europe, the global emissions brokers, and the Royal Institute of International Affairs, an independent policy think-tank where he was responsible for climate change projects. Christiaan is a globally recognised expert on the Kyoto Protocol and emission reduction projects.^ Top

Chief Representative, China: Qian Yiwen

Qian Yiwen has 9 years’ experience working in the Provincial Development and Planning Commission in Xinjiang and one year working in the Chinese National Development and Reform Commission. She has managed a wide range of projects funded by international donors, including the Asia Development Bank, World Bank and the European Commission. She has extensive CDM project experience in China. She was a visiting scholar to the Business School of the University of Maryland, USA for two years.^ Top

Kanan is the CEO of Carbon Capital Services Ltd and the Chief Representative for Carbon Resource Management Limited in Ukraine. Based in Kiev, he manages a team of 6 people and coordinates the company’s activities in Eastern Europe, Central Asia and the Middle East.^ Top

Le Thi Bao Ngoc is Carbon Resource Management Limited’s Chief Representative in Vietnam. Based in the company’s office in Hanoi she leads a team of 4 people. She has worked on Clean Development Mechanism projects in Vietnam for 4 years.^ Top
